New TRS Officers

TRS is heading into fresh prospects with the newly appointed President of TRS - Mary McKinney. Mary not only has a music background, but also some great renovating energy! Joining her in his new office for TRS is Mike Mendelsohn - our new treasurer.
Dana Deaton is staying as our fabulous web master and newsletter coordinator; Doug Young is staying as membership recorder; Kay Bailey, meeting scheduler; Marie Grauerholz, mailing secretary; Michael Singer, publicist; Phil Stiles, librarian; and Bev Koester as social chairperson, and our fearless leader and director is Pat Petersen.

The TRS is quite fortunate to have folks to step up to these roles with their various talents to help facilitate this ever-growing recorder society. Thanks for everyone's efforts!

There are 2 other choice positions that need to be filled - if anyone is interested in these, contact Cindy Osborne or Mary McKinney. These are: refreshment coordinator and (a new spot on the list) an ARS Chapter representative.

TRS May Recital a Success!

Thanks to everyone who played for the TRS Spring Recital on May 15. From the Baillie Branslers to the brave efforts of the novices to the gritty buzz of the double reeds, there were many beautiful sounds to entertain the audience. Music from five centuries was played on a variety of instruments including recorder, lute, curtal, and harpsichord. Thanks to the Baillie Branslers for DELICIOUS snacks, thanks to Kay and Westminster Presbyterian for hosting, and thanks to everyone who turned out for a great afternoon of musical performances!
